Why Join ServeNext.org

The future of National Service depends on supporters coming together and taking action. At this moment, the service movement is at a critical crossroads: will programs continue to get cut or will supporters take action? Together we can achieve the vision of service being the common expectation of every citizen and a problem solving force in our communities.

The last five years of budget cuts are unacceptable. It’s important to remember that even before the budget cuts, National Service programs were already small and not among our nation’s priorities.

This can change if supporters unite and take action.

ServeNext’s goal is not simply to restore funding. That’s not adequate! The ServeNext community is dedicated to inserting service into the debate about our country’s priorities. The vision is to create enough opportunities for all interested citizens to voluntarily participate in service to each other and our communities.

ServeNext members and the community are also re-inspiring the role that ordinary citizens can play in shaping our country’s priorities. For any National Service supporter, ServeNext offers the opportunity to join a community of like-minded folks, take action for an important issue, and help strengthen our country and communities.
